Larionov was centre between Vladimir Krutov and Sergei Makarov in the famous “KLM Line“ dominated both the Soviet League and international competition in the 80s. Larionov won two Olympic gold medals (1984, 1988) for the Soviet Union and one bronze medal (2002). At the World Championships, Larionov won four golds (1982, 1983, 1986, 1989).
