TNO Custom Super Event: The Lunar Scramble (Post-Takagi Japan/Post-Glenn USA)

Consider this TNO custom event something of a continuation of sorts to Project Kaguya ( ), in that Japan’s entry into the space race (made potentially possible in Takagi’s path) can theoretically lead to a new Scramble for Africa, but on the Moon. More so should Glenn be US President or Zhdanov’s Ultravisionaries reunite Russia. Of course, there aren’t any natives, but there are worse ways for the great powers to compete. For some trivia, the music cycles from “Mond Mond, Ja Ja“ (that one song from Wolfenstein: The New Order ; ) to the “Anthem of the Soviet Cosmonaut Program“ ( ), before transitioning to Donna Burke’s deceptively whimsical yet ominous “After All“ ( ), which coincidentally was used as an ending track for Turn A Gundam. And yes, the image is from For All Mankind, with audio quip at the end being from the Apollo 11 audio logs.
