SKAUT - Norwegian contemporary folk dance

SKAUT is premiering at Bærum kulturhus February 28th 2020. For the first time FRIKAR performs with exsclusively women on stage. Choreographer Hallgrim Hansegård researches historical and present aspects of controll and covering of the female body. Which power structure lies hidden in the Norwegian folk dance and todays society? How do the search for freedom end up with opposite results among users of headscarfs and hijab? Music by Erlend Apneseth Trio with goat calling by Anna Beito. Dancers in the video: Sara Enger Larsen and Sigyn Åsa Sætereng. Anita Vika Langødegård, Nora Svenning and Ornilia Ubisse Percia is also co-creating dancers in SKAUT. Co-produced with Beaivvas Sami National Theatre and Bærum kulturhus.
