Staff Sling - introduction and demonstration

This is a Staff Sling that I made and took out to use for the first time. It consists of a Cold Steel polypropylene “Escrima Stick“ and a paracord sling tied onto the end. In use, one end of the sling is tied onto the end of the stick and will remain there. A projectile is cradled in the pouch. The other end of the sling is tied in a large diameter loop and slid onto the end of the stick. Held like a lacrosse stick, the staff sling is flung over the shoulder and near the apex of the swing, the retention loop comes off the end of the stick, releasing the projectile. This video depicts my first afternoon ever using a staff sling. On a success scale of 1-10, I would rate my experience with this, my first staff sling, a 9.5. Ordinary slings (which don’t involve the use of a staff or stick) are significantly more difficult to master. The staff sling is EASY by comparison.
