Chicken controlled door opener

About Us It all started when my wife Chis wanted to go away for a few days. I was not keen as there was the problem of finding someone reliable to lock up the chickens and collect the eggs. I also did not relish paying £180 for an electronic door opener (as these have to be continually adjusted and also need batteries). Being an ideas person I decided to see if I could solve the problem of shutting the chickens in and letting them out and also collecting the eggs. I have managed to do it and I am so impressed that I feel every small poultry keeper will want to benefit. No longer need you be tied to locking-up and letting out your chickens every day because with this system they do it themselves! Now you can go away for two or three days without worrying about your girls. Also you do not need to cut short visits to friends or worry about getting home from work before dark in the depth of winter. I have four Rhode Island Red x Light Sussex that have not stopped laying yet. Four eggs a day is the norm and I believe they relish being able to get out at the crack of dawn in the morning and foraging around until dusk. They make their own decisions!
