Spokes That Float On Water - BERD Wheel & PolyLight Spoke Review

BERD are they and how do they work? To start, Berd spokes are made from an advanced polymer called ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). UHMWPE has 12 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and floats on water. Sounds crazy, but stick with us. The Berd spokes and wheels just might be the wildest mountain bike wheelset we have ever seen and to be honest, we were a bit skeptical at first. Once we got out on trail though, that quickly changed. Jeff, Liam, and Jared have all been riding the BERD MTB wheels and spokes for the last few months and have been nothing short of impressed.
