“Young Cops“ TAC anti speed TV ad

This campaign targeted complacent drivers of all ages who believed that everybody speeds and that its okay to travel a little over the speed limit. It dramatically shows that the reason why the police target speeding behaviour is to try and stop the crashes that come as a result of drivers who speed. The crash sequence was actually filmed by two cameras in one continuous take lasting an hour. The emergency services were introduced as would happen in reality, from the paramedics and SES to the Police helicopter, undertaker and accident investigators. Don’t fool yourself, speed kills. Launched: 1998. Victorian Road Toll that year: 390. ====================== “Copyright in the material on this website is owned by the TAC and may only be used for non-commercial personal or educational purposes.
