Σε μια οργισμένη ανάρτηση, προχώρησε πριν μερικές ώρες, ο πρώην Ρώσος πρόεδρος Ντμίτρι Μεντβέντεφ, με την οποία αναρωτήθηκε, πως γίνεται κάποιοι δυτικοί αξιωματούχοι να πιστεύουν ότι η Ρωσία, μια πυρηνική δύναμη, μπορεί να ηττηθεί στον πόλεμο με την Ουκρανία, ενώ στη συνέχεια προειδοποίησε, αναλύοντας την κατάσταση, ότι φυσικά υπάρχει το ενδεχόμενο, αν κινδυνεύσει η ύπαρξη της Ρωσίας, να οδηγηθούμε σε έναν παγκόσμιο πόλεμο, στον οποίο η Ρωσία θα χρησιμοποιήσει όλα τα στρατηγικά πυρηνικά της όπλα, εξαϋλώνοντας μεγάλες πόλεις της Δύσης.
