Russia accused of releasing fake German anti-Zelensky advert
The latest attempt by Moscow to sow discord in the West has been exposed as a video discouraging Germans from supporting Ukraine.
The one-minute-long clip originally surfaced on several German-language Twitter accounts before being picked up by prominent Russian propagandists, who reshared it online, falsely claiming the hard-right AfD party was behind it.
The video opens with a view of an idyllic, sun-lit German street in “2023” before cutting away to the inside of a home where modestly dressed young parents sit on the sofa watching TV while their young son plays in front of them.
