Amtrak 155 California Zephyr Train 5 - *New Signals* 65th St. Railroad Crossing, Emeryville CA

June 8, 2024 4:27pm Was in the area and seen on Amtrak’s tracker that Amtrak 5 was approaching Emeryville their final stop so I took a quick stop off the freeway to catch it here at 65th St since the crossing was rebuilt within the least year with new signals and converted into an exit gate and pedestrian gate crossing. I was about to miss the activation so I was recording while quickly setting up my tripod and had to stabilize in Premier Pro as my camera had the stabilization off since the Sony Handycam FDR-AX53 stabilization bugs out on a tripod. Due to that I had the in camera stabilization off which would of made this not shakey setting u0 but I keep it off because it doesn’t work on a tripod and makes the video shake. One thing about UP exit gate crossings in the Bay Area and out in Dixon, the pedestrian gates function shuts them off as soon as the exit gates have raised even if the main signals are still active. TBH, I wish Sacramento would get some crossing conversions like this through Midtown but Sacramento always takes the cheap route or delays their projects or funding problems.
