Architects - Gone With The Wind (Cover by Gerard Vachon)

I’ve been postponing this video for a long time now. Shortly before Tom Searle’s death, my father was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is an extremely aggressive type of bone cancer. It’s taken a very large toll on him to the point where he has strongly debated discontinuing treatment. This song spoke to me even before that diagnosis and after learning about the songs meaning, it hit even harder. I was going to film the guitar and bass part of the cover as well, but after blowing my voice out doing the vocals and just being emotionally worn out I decided to keep it simple. I’ve removed the intro of this video as after a lot of therapy I realized that my father was not a good person. He was my narcissistic abuser who gaslit me into thinking his abuse was ok. Though this song still means a lot to me, it’s not for the same reasons it once was. Donate to Multiple Myeloma research here: All instruments performed and/or pro
