Covenant (The Kovenant) - Receiving “Norwegian Grammy award“ in 1999 (Pro-shot broadcast)

This is a clip from the “Norwegian Grammy equivalent“, called “Spellemannsprisen“, in 1999. Covenant won in the category of “Best Hard rock album“, for the album “Nexus Polaris“. The other nominees were Dimmu Borgir and Mundanus Imperium. They accepted the award right after Dimmu Borgir had played “Grotesquery Conceiled“ live at the same event. That’s why Astennu is dressed the way he is when he accepts the award. The award was presented to Covenant by Diesel Dahl, the drummer of the classic Norwegian metal band TNT. I remember feeling a bit embarrassed (on behalf of the band) when this award was accepted by Covenant, because of the behavior of Lex Icon. Chewing gum and making silly remarks... But you would have to understand Norwegian to see what I mean. This clip is taken from one of my old VHS cassettes. (BASF stereo recording.) This show originally aired on Norwegian national TV.
