Thailand: Three injured by rubber bullets at Bangkok protest

Three protesters were injured by rubber bullets at a protest sparked by Wednesday’s ruling in Thailand’s Constitutional court that will make it easier to prosecute pro-democracy protesters, in Bangkok on Sunday. The hundreds of protesters also called for reform of the Thai royal system. Wednesday’s ruling stated that such calls amounted to an attempt to overthrow the monarchy. Police can be heard firing what sounds like rubber bullets at protesters. At least one injured protester could be seen receiving urgent medical care. Demonstrators destroyed models of the constitutional court and burned effigies of the judges that oversaw the ruling.
