Sunset House Mix (on fire) | Luc Angenehm

Hello, I’d like to kick off this series by sharing an experience I had playing a set under a bridge at sunset. This was my first time attempting something like this, and it didn’t start off smoothly. Earlier that morning, my girlfriend ended our relationship, leaving me in need of a distraction. I packed my equipment into my car and set out to find a spot where I could play the music I love. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. Twelve minutes into the recording, my phone overheated and died, which I didn’t realize until thirty minutes later. To make matters worse, the initial footage was shot with the wrong lens setting, rendering the first forty-five minutes unusable. After addressing the overheating issue, my phone overheated again after just seven minutes of recording. Despite these setbacks, my excitement and adrenaline kept me motivated. I decided to return to the location another day to capture additional footage of the river for the missing segments. Thankfully, the last recording session went uninterrupted and lasted for around forty minutes. The smoke: During the recording, a man appeared intermittently at the location. At one point, he jumped over a fence (not visible in the footage) and seemed to start a fire, possibly to cook food. I spoke with some cyclists who passed by, and we decided to leave him undisturbed. When I returned the next day, everything seemed fine, confirming our assumption that the fire was for cooking. This experience marked my first outdoor recording session using my car, and there will be many more to come, especially with the current heat in Germany.
