About Jason LaRocca:
Grammy nominated engineer and mixer, Jason LaRocca, is formerly known as the singer/guitarist of acclaimed punk band, The Briggs. By the age of eighteen, the Los Angeles native was touring the world as a musician and had also become a full-fledged producer and recording engineer.
Having worked with the gamut of movie studios, he has recorded and mixed music for such major motion pictures as “Bad Boys for Life,” “Paddington,” “Aquaman,” “The Flash” and the Oscar-winning documentary “Icarus.” Jason also mixed the music for hit video games such as “Fortnite,” “God of War: Ragnarök,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” “Assasin’s Creed Valhalla” and more. In his true multi-faceted style, Jason not only engineers scores, but often produces them as well — creating sound design and instrumentation.
In addition to his film and video game work, Jason has also had his hand in a great deal of television score recording and mixing. His TV credits include “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “Little Fires Everywhere,” “Justified: City Primeval,“ “Fellow Travelers,“ “Locke & Key,“ “The Offer,” and “Black Mirror.”
Jason has recorded and mixed for such top recording artists as Jay-Z, CeeLo Green, Fiona Apple, Schoolboy Q and Serj Tankian, of System of a Down.
In 2023, Jason earned his first of two Grammy Nominations for his mixing work on the Cast Album release of the hit Broadway musical “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” and best video game score nominee, “God of War: Ragnarök.”
