Ray Conniff and the Singers with a sparkling version of this composition by David (Dave) Clark. The Dave Clark Five (or DC5 as they were sometimes called) was the 2nd UK popgroup who “conquered“ the US, after the Beatles. Clark founded the band in 1959 and wrote several of the “DC5“ hits himself, amongst which this “Because“ which was first released in 1964 and for which the band received a 5th “golden disc“.
