June 2020 | Los Angeles, CA Los Angeles County endured several nights of looting and arson in late May/early June, following the international internet release of video documenting the Minneapolis murder of George Floyd while in police custody on May 25, 2020. Immediate angry but primarily peaceful protests ensued around the world and throughout the U.S., demanding justice, racial reconciliation, and ultimately, genuine peace. Apparently organized looters and arsonists - entirely apart from the protesters - quickly rallied with crowbars and hammers, taking advantage of the widespread public protests to overwhelm isolated Los Angeles County business districts in riotous destruction and theft.
