Chuck Rainey is a legendary bassist who has left an indelible mark on the world of music. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1940, Rainey’s career began in the 1960s as a session musician in New York City. He quickly gained a reputation as a versatile and highly skilled bassist, playing on countless recordings across a wide range of genres, from soul and R&B to jazz and rock.
