George Wein’s 90th Birthday Celebration: Music on Jazz at Lincoln Center:
Jazz impresario and pianist George Wein, affectionately referred to as “The Father of Jazz Festivals” after creating the Newport Jazz Festival in 1954, celebrates his 90th birthday with an all-star group at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola. Joining Wein will be an incomparable group comprised of Randy Brecker, Howard Alden, Frank Kimbrough, Jay Leonhart, and Lewis Nash, all significant performers and band leaders.
