ABBA Voyage with Kinetic Lighting by WHITEvoid and KINETIC LIGHTS
The kinetic part of the ABBA Voyage light show - conceived and produced by design studio WHITEvoid in collaboration with daughter company KINETIC LIGHTS - consists mainly of three technical components: 700 Winches, 89 mirrors and 13,000 light points on LED pixelstrings.
The 2500 m2 moving spatial light sculpture fills a volume of 25,000m3 in motion. With 30,000 individually controllable and moving light points, this installation is an absolute world record in its size and complexity.
In order to be able to control a light installation of this size, KINETIC LIGHTS developed a special new software. All kinetic light elements and mirror systems have to move precisely and in real time in the space to be extended exactly fitting virtually on huge LED screens. An illusion that had to be taken into account in all areas and thus also in the light installation.
Light is the central connecting element between the digital world of the ABBAtars and the physical space of the audience. With its space-filling rhythm, the light show makes ABBA Voyage a show experience that sets new standards.
