Japan to host online G7 summit on Wednesday evening

G7 정상, 오늘 밤 화상회의 우크라•중동•AI 문제 논의 Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is hosting an online summit of the Group of Seven industrialized nations on Wednesday. Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said at a press conference that the G7 leaders are likely discussing Russia’s war against Ukraine, and the conflict between Israel and Hamas. An international comprehensive framework on advanced artificial intelligence will also likely be high on the agenda. The G7 are Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States, with the participation of the European Union. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to join the meeting as Japan wraps up its role as this year’s rotating chair.
