Land-use change

We humans are actively changing the land surface of our planet - and doing so on a much larger scale and with more dramatic consequences than ever before. What are the changes in land use leading to? And how can these be tracked and presented globally? Satellite images enable us to document changes in land use very precisely. They make land cover mapping possible and provide information about land use on a global scale. They enable us to understand and accompany processes of land use change and the associated developments. Would you like to learn more about this topic?
