Вечная память (Vechnaya pamyat’)--Mnogaya L’eta! Yale Russian Chorus 65th Anniversary CD

Yale Russian Chorus: Vechnaya pamyat’ (Eternal Memory). This invocation, with its threefold repetition calling for the deceased to be remembered forever, concludes the Orthodox liturgy for the dead (Panikhida). The words “Vechnaya pamyat’” are also used in ordinary speech in the same way that English uses “May he/she rest in peace.” Alumni of the Yale Russian Chorus Live in Concert (2005): Duke Univ. Chapel, October 2005. Conductor: Denis Mickiewicz. Soloist: Harald Hille.
