We actually wrote it over a year ago when we (the pilot cast of #HazbinHotel) found out we were being re-cast. However, we didn’t release it out of respect for Vivienne and the new A24 crew as they hadn’t made their official announcement yet. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, we hope you enjoy our final Hazbin Hotel song! We hope it is received in the spirit with which it was written; as a light-hearted and proverbial passing of the torch from the pilot cast of Hazbin, to the incredible new voice cast that will carry the show into the future! We have nothing but love and respect for the incredible world that is the Hellaverse, and the brilliant people who bring it to life! We are honored to have been a part of it, even for a moment! I’m happy, I think. This song is very meaningful to me. It’s a bitter-sweet moment. Sweet because I’m reflecting on all the awesome memories and the amazing people I’ve encountered through being involved with Hazbin Hotel! Bitter because, well... I’m sad that I’m no longer going to be a part of it. I think we all are. I do, however, understand and respect the decision to go in a different direction. That’s Hollywood, after all. It’s the nature of the beast! Projects come and go, but the experiences and lessons never leave you, and the friendships you make along the way are worth more than any disappointment or sadness that comes with the end of a project! I guess if I want to say anything, it’s this; I’m SO happy for Vivian! I’m happy for the fandom! I’m happy for Indie Animation! This is a win across the board! This show has brought so much joy into the lives of so many, and that is bigger than all of us!
