Fiat first flight

Italian jet fighter aircraft designed and built by Fiat Aviazione, which later merged into Aeritalia. The has its origins in the NATO-organised NBMR-1 competition in 1953. On 9 August 1956, the prototype conducted its maiden flight at the Caselle airfield, Turin, Italy; it was flown by Chief Test Pilot Riccardo Bignamini.
