The Boneyard

One of my creepiest dives. The “boneyard“ is what is left after spider crab aggregation. The crabs shed their skeletons in order to grow a bigger one and then head back into deeper waters. They are normally loners. The stingrays gather here also in hopes of catching vulnerable soft-boned spider crabs. I rushed to Melbourne when I heard it was happening... I arrived about 1 day late.
