Footprints in the Sand - Jaya Blues Band Original (filmed in Bandung)

Our adventure into country!! Blues bands have always played across genres - as Willie Dixon said “Blues are the roots, the other musics are the fruits“. Well we like a bit of country and bluegrass too, so we wrote this song and enjoyed every second of it. Craig wrote the basic melody and lyrics and Dolf composed the rollicking jam at the end of the song and the richly layered arrangement, but every musician added their own special touch during production. Footprints in the Sand features some of Indonesia’s finest blues, bluegrass and country musicians - young and young at heart: maestro violinist Hendri Lamiri, harmonica legend Hari Pochang, pedal steel whiz Amrus Ramadhan, versatile mandolinist/violist Estu Bhawana, acoustic guitarist Ricky Pangkerego as well as our very own Dolf Wemay (bass), Finggo van Leun (electric guitar), Elie Supusepa (piano) and Frank Tumbuan (drums).
