“The Voice Of a Paintbrush“ A reflection on the negative implications related to the communities living in the junkyard, Armando (the protagonist) shows a future, but an abstract perception of his vision, of his neighborhood, which is the space where is suffering by waste pollution, in order to show that the change can come from anywhere in this case , from his art “ A Paintbrush “ __________________________________________________________________________ Armando is a shy, educated and intelligent young man of 20 years old of low class, painting is his passion. He attends the school of arts, that is located in the city of maputo, in the central district. Armando lives with his mother, in a humble residence in the Hulene neighborhood, in the junkyard. Coming from a poor family, his uncle, Mr. Santos, brother of his late father, offered to help with Armando’s school fees, making Armando able to follow his passion for the art of painting. Uncle Santos, with a good heart, and worried about the education of Armando, took him from the rough neighborhood at the junkyard, to his home in the city, so that Armando is not far from school, and also fearing that Armando is involved in bad companies, consequently, not letting him frequently visit his mother in the neighborhood of Hulene.
