Wood carving - Carving a mascaron in wood

Wood carving project in Lime wood. The carving of our company mascaron. The design is my own but it has been influenced from the classical italian renaissance mascaron. Originally its function was to frighten evil spirits away so that they would not enter the building on wich it was attached to. As time went it was subsequently adapted in to become “mearly“ a decorative element.
