In 1994 Sony launched the first in a long lineup on Home Video Game Consoles titled the PlayStation to resounding success. Consumers, developers, publishers, media, and the world decided the PlayStation should be a household name. Fast forward 5 years to 1999, with the next generation of consoles hitting homes with the Dreamcast, Sony was finally ready to unveil their brand new device, once that would hold Emotion in the center of it’s DNA. The PlayStation 2 is quite possibly the most influential console ever, and was the most culturally significant video game machine at the turn of the millennia.
