Leaked footage of Yakuza 8: Never Ending Nightmare’s title and menu screen. The game is also known as Like a Dragon: Never Ending Nightmare. As of yet, I haven’t been able to get past the game’s first chapter, as it simply crashes. However, I know there is more in the game files and will continue to investigate. The game takes place in Isezaki Ijincho, Yokohama, in the year 2024 — five years after the events of Yakuza 7. Due to seeing many horrendous things, including the events of Like a Dragon and this game’s notorious Hamakita Park Incident, Ichiban Kasuga himself becomes a hollow shell of the man he once was. This causes his former friends to be scared off, and the consequential isolation ends up driving him insane. Will he find a way to make things right again, reunite with those he holds dear, and rise up from rock bottom once again — just as he had done five years ago? Or will he fully succumb to his madness and truly become a monster of a man? . . . . . . . .
