M/S as British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain walks through crowds of people on the airfield. They cheer and shake his hand as he walks through smiling and waving. He stops to make a speech, M/S as he says when he was a little boy his motto was “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.“ He says that is what he is doing now by going to Munich to meet with Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Edouard Daladier for the Four Powers conference. He says he wants to be able to quote William Shakespeare when he gets back and say “out of this nettle danger we plucked this flower safety“. Everyone cheers and he gets onto the aeroplane.
