Progress Rail Tier IV Demonstrators on NS L82

Progress Rail SD70ACe-T4s 1607 and 1608 (EMDX reporting marks) are seen on Norfolk Southern local L82 in Muncie, Indiana on October 28, 2016. The units are seen first crossing 23rd street, the first crossing north of the Progress Rail plant, and later seen crossing the White River on the eastern end of Muncie. The units will be sent to Roanoke, VA before being tested on the NS system for around three months. After their testing on NS they will be tested by Kansas City Southern. Following their time on KCS they will be returned to Progress Rail for installation of Union Pacific options before being sent to UP as part of an order for the first Tier IV units from Progress Rail.
