“It’s time to start a war”: Darya Dugina’s killing sparks anger across Russia, concerns in Ukraine

A memorial service to Darya Dugina, the daughter of a Russian nationalist who was killed in a car bomb attack, took place in Moscow on Tuesday. Russia’s Federal Security Service has accused Ukraine’s secret services on Monday of killing Dugina, in an attack that President Vladimir Putin called “evil.“ Ukraine has denied involvement, with Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak calling the accusation “propaganda.“ Speaking at the service, Dugina’s father Alexander Dugin — a vocal supporter of both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow’s “special military operation“ in Ukraine — said that only Russian victory in Ukraine could justify his daughter’s death.
