Unused / unissued material - Full title reads: “The Investiture of the Prince of Wales, July 13th, 1911 - then but 17 years of age.“ Title card suggests this item is from the 1910-1931 anniversary issue. Caernarvon Castle, Wales. Prince Edward, Prince of Wales (King Edward VIII later Duke of Windsor) arrives for his investiture at Caernarvon Castle. He is accompanied by his mother and father, Queen Mary and King George V. Shots of the Investiture ceremony. M/S Prince Edward approaching the dais at his investiture as Prince of Wales. Closer shot as coronet is place on his head. Various people come to pay their respects to the new Prince - including a group of Druids. After the installation ceremony the Prince with his parents walks slowly back past crowded stands. Several of the shots are repeated or shown from different angles.
