Titles read: “Come to the Ball“ - filmed at THE FILM BALL, Royal Albert Hall, LONDON - Thousands of dancing feet, a human sea in tune to the music of Billy Cotton’s Band - familiar to Radio and Variety audiences.“ Good shots of crowds of people in evening dress dancing in the Albert Hall to the music of Billy Cotton and his band. Joseph Muscant and his ’Commodore’ Orchestra play a stirring tune - The Hungarian Rhapsody by Liszt - while ladies in elegant evening dress watch from the balconies and drink tea. Film / stage actors Leslie Fuller, Stanley Lupino (signs autograph, spots camera, laughs and ducks out of shot - he’s great!), Clifford Mollison and Lupino Lane are seen in the audience. We then see acrobatic / tumbling group The Fourteen Thunderbolts doing their act on the dance floor. The John Tiller Girls do a high-kicking dance routine, wearing tiered skirts and sequinned tops plus little caps. Cataloguer’s note: great footage - lots of atmosphere.
