Filmed in June and July 2020, after the lockdown in France, but with strict health protocols. The house of CHANEL commissioned me three short black and white videos for their social platforms. This gave us exclusive and unlimited access to the making of its new Haute Couture collection. This is my self-funded director’s cut of this experience. The ateliers, Virginie Viard, the seamstresses, the heads of atelier, the stustustudio, Amanda and Cris the fit models, the embroidery magicians, Rianne and Adut, Mikael Jannson the photographer, they all let us film their process and steal coffee and cakes. And, emotion, for the first time, the successors of MADAME POUZIEUX show how they continue to master the iconic CHANEL braids!
