Deep Impact colt Auguste Rodin lands English-Irish Derby double #オーギュストロダン | #ディープインパクト| #競馬

Aidan O’Brien recorded his 100th European Classic success following Auguste Rodin’s victory in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh. The 4/11 favourite recorded a workmanlike length and a half victory in the 12-furlong event, getting the better of stable companions Adelaide River and Covent Garden who led home a 1-2-3 for the master of Ballydoyle. The Deep Impact colt also became the first horse since Harzand in 2016 to complete the English-Irish Derby double. Ryan Moore also recorded his first win in the Irish Derby, one of the few jewels in the sport’s crown that had previously eluded him.
