In The Rover Tradition Reel Two (1950-1959)

Int. “Concept Room“ with stylists working on drawings of cars. Model makers looking at scale model of new car (as seen being photographed in reel one). Quarter scale model being made in clay. A full scale mock up is being made in wood. A model passenger is sitting in the drivers seat. A woman sits in another prototype to make sure her nylons are not laddered or her skirt caught in the door. She holds the steering wheel to show the fascia panel. Colour is perfected on another full scale model using lacquer paper held against the panels. Top shot of large engineering drawing office. A draftsman take a piece of paper to the engineering workshop. Engineer is working on the new 7 bearing crankshaft. CU of roller tappets and WS of Engine exposed and being hand cranked. A prototype is driven out of the factory and along a leafy country road. It drives across a forge and onto a test track.
