PLATOON OF GERMAN LEOPARD 2A6 TANKS DESTROYED IN FAILED ATTACK NEAR TERNY

On January 2, the Russian military shared footage of destruction of a platoon of German Leopard 2A6 tanks. Russian reconnaissance UAV filmed strikes of Russian kamikaze drones on three tanks to the east of the village of Terny in the Svatovo direction. The ARmed Forces of Ukraine attempted an attack, including on the German tanks, but it ended in failure. As a result, Leopard tanks were abandoned on the battlefield. Apparently, the armored vehicles were blown up by mines or defeated by the shelling and were abandoned by their crews. The Lancet UAVs finished them off. The West supplied Ukraine with a small number of Leopard 2A6 tanks. In recent months, most of the Leopards were sent to the northern Donbass, where the frontlines are mainly inflamed by positional battles. They were spotted in combat operations in the area near Kremennaya. The Ukrainian military was likely ordered by NATO patrons to save the tanks that left in service with the Ukrainian army. Earlier, the head of the Situation Center Ukraine in the Bundeswehr revealed that almost half of the German Leopard 2 tanks delivered to Kiev had already been put out of service. LINK The German military is probably unhappy that Ukrainian crews are abandoning their tanks on the battlefields. The myth about the almighty German tanks was dispelled at the very beginning of the Ukrainian counteroffensive months ago.
