“Happy Birthday, Wei Ying“ ____________________________ Watch in 1080p A better experience with headphones or earphones Please leave a like, comment and/or subscribe to me if you like it(: *** Hope everyone like it, let me know your thoughts about this. *** What to say about my sweet beautiful soul, Wei Wuxian; I love Wei Ying, he instantly stole my heart the moment I first watched the donghua, his character is so compelling and reminded me a little of Dazai with how he showed a duality between dark and goofiness but then I realized how much a kind soul Wei Ying is, I don’t normally enjoy “morally good” characters since they often show a white perspective of the world like there is only good and evil so I prefer the ones that do have an open mind and see there are tons of shades of grey; Wei Wuxian is not just the typical good nature protagonist, he has shown that he will do whatever it takes to protect those who he cares about even if it means damaging himself or others who he sees as his enemies and that’s real, Wei Ying is just a man trying to protect those who he loves and accepts what he has to do, he doesn’t stop himself or judge by saying “there is another way” “killing is bad” no, he is in the middle of a war and he is doing what he has to protect the ones he loves. I consider Wei Wuxian my favorite character in general, I think he has a beautiful soul even if it is damaged because even after all the horrible things he has gone through and done he says “they are all mistakes of the past and it’s time to move on” there is no point in dwelling on the past, he is going to fix what he has done and prove he is not responsible of some events and not because he wants to show everyone he is a good person, he doesn’t care what others say about him, he is just doing it because it’s the truth. I can’t even begin to express how much I love his relationship with Lan Zhan and how they help each other become better persons. If you haven’t seen MDZS or the Untamed, or any other adaptation, you have to because you will enjoy the story and definitely feel for Wei Ying.
