BRICS Economies Surpass G7 in Global GDP Share

Saw a chart in the Economist and couldn’t believe it. So I ran the data and created this. #BRICS have already overtaken the #G7 in global share of GDP, adjusted for purchasing power (PPP). Why adjust for PPP? This measure adjusts for the cost of living, the standard of living, makes international comparisons easier and captures real economic output. Let me know your thoughts.
