LIVE: Yemen’s Houthi rebels stage angry protest after US airstrikes

Supporters of the Houthi movement protest after the US relists the group as terrorists in response to Red Sea attacks. President Biden has said that American strikes against the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen will continue as he conceded that the US-UK bombardment had not deterred the group’s attacks on Red Sea shipping. The US carried out a fifth round of strikes on Thursday, with navy warplanes targeting anti-ship missiles that “were aimed into the southern Red Sea and prepared to launch”, US central command said. Departing the White House for a speech in North Carolina, Biden was asked if the strikes were working, after officials said the first two left the Houthis with three quarters of their capabilities. “When you say working, are they stopping the Houthis?
