By popular request, I’m sharing a breakdown of a tearing effect using pop grains in houdini. We’ll cover a basic version (tearing a flat sheet) from scratch, then I’ll go over a few variations to generalize the effect to other kinds of geometry. Beginner to Intermediate level – nothing wildly complicated, but a fair bit of vex.
