President Erdogan visits Anıtkabir on the 100th anniversary of the Republic (2)
The state officials led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Anıtkabir on the occasion of the 29 October Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic.
During the ceremony, which started after President Erdoğan took his place at the beginning of the Lion’s Way, President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener, members of the Presidential Cabinet, heads of high judicial bodies, Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak and force commanders also passed through the Lion’s Way and went to the mausoleum.
After President Erdoğan laid a wreath with a crescent star on it at Atatürk’s mausoleum, a moment of silence was observed and the National Anthem was recited.
