Live: Queen Elizabeth coffin procession to St. Giles’ Cathedral, royal family service and vigil

Queen Elizabeth’s coffin will be moved from the Palace of Holyrood House to St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh in a procession along the Royal Mile. King Charles and other members of the royal family will take part in the procession, and attend a service of prayer and reflection in the cathedral. The Queen’s body will lie in rest at St Giles’ and members of the public will be able to view her coffin, which will remain under continuous vigil for 24 hours. The king and other members of the family will attend the vigil for a time in the evening. Before flying to Scotland from London, the king will visit Westminster for the first time as monarch. He will attend a meeting of both Houses of Parliament, and receive condolences from the Lords and the Commons. In Edinburgh, King Charles will be officially handed the keys to the City of Edinburgh at a ceremony at the Palace of Holyroodhouse - the royal residence in the Scottish capital.
