Uncovering an abandoned Tobacco Ghost Town from the early 1900’s
Settlers first arrived here as far back as 1765, back then it was mostly tobacco fields, and these crops are what started the first boom in the regions economy. After many decades of more people finding the town, it was mostly widely known as a stop along a horse and carriage trail. Travelers would arrive in town after long distances, with many more miles to go. There was over 20 business’s in Union Level’s peak. Banks, General Stores, Dance Halls and many more of these structures are left behind today.
