Less than 48 hours ago, Federal criminal defense attorney Caroline Polisi on Wednesday said Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis’ prosecution of former President Trump could be the “death knell“ if she is removed from the case. The attorney acknowledged that the case would still be ongoing if Willis was disqualified from it by Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee because of her alleged affair with Nathan Wade, a prosecutor she hired for the case. However, Polisi predicted that it could lose all momentum once it was reassigned to another governing body. Polisi made the claim as Willis’ Georgia election interference case was hit by another string of setbacks, with McAfee throwing out six counts against Trump. Well folks, firefighters just got even more legal backing as NYC councilwoman defends First Amendment rights of firefighters scolded for booing AG James, cheering Trump! Previous NYFD firefighter boycott: Unions representing many of New York City’s frontline workers boycotted Wednesday’s ticker tape parade in their honor because they say their workers are still suffering from the impacts of the pandemic, while others were angry at the city for not offering hazard pay and for recently denying workers incentives to retire instead of risking layoffs. The city’s firefighters union said Tuesday they would boycott the ticker-tape parade in lower Manhattan’s “Canyon of Heroes,” joining some EMS workers, the unions for the city’s jail workers and probation officers and most of the local divisions of the city’s municipal workers union.
