Choreographer: Han Baoquan Composer: Ji Peng Performance: Chinese Folk Music Troupe and Dance Troupe of CNODDT The watertight-bulkhead technology of Chinese junks from East China’s Fujian province is a craft permitting the construction of ocean-bound vessels with watertight compartments dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The technology created a grand era bearing significant scientific and cultural values. Navigating the tides throughout thousands of years in Chinese history, “Sailing” sets sail this intangible cultural heritage to the rest of the world via a sublime performance by CNODDT artists.
