In 1992, when I was 17 years old, Shusha was occupied by the Armenian army in the First Kharabakh War. The world-renowned and unforgettable artists of Azerbaijan opened their eyes to the world and created profound work within this city. I’ve always wanted to be creative with my art in Shusha. After 30 years, on November 8, 2020, Azerbaijan regained Shusha in the Second Kharabakh War. I was invited to the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis in 2022 which was held at Shusha. And on the occasion of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I was awarded the “Progress” medal. This award was given for my artistic creativity and how it has been representing Azerbaijani music and culture in foreign countries. I’ve been living in the United States for 22 years and have been consistently working on these
